Methods

Methods, published in full.

Design Poiesis is the core: how ideas get made and made defensible. The applied methods take it into specific decisions, questions and ventures. Each is written down with its instruments and its gates, so anyone can check the reasoning, use it, or argue with it.

Design Poiesis

Every insight carries its trail.

Design Poiesis is a design methodology for the age of AI: five moves, two rails and a gate that turn informed intuition into design claims you can trace and test. It is written for designers, and for anyone doing structured creative work with AI.

Applied methods

Five applied methods.

Each of these starts from a specific decision, question, revenue stream, venture or build, and sets out up front how to tell whether it got better. They live in the open framework library.

LEVER · The unit is a decision

Align the goal. Expose the friction. Sequence the fix.

Decision diagnostics for organisations that have adopted AI and cannot show what it changed. LEVER maps every recurring decision, prices the friction in each, and sequences the one change that recovers it without breaking something downstream.

RECALL · The unit is a question

Ask first. Score the corpus. Earn the right to build.

A retrieval system cannot be better than the documents it retrieves from. RECALL measures a company's corpus against the questions people actually ask before anything is built, and can recommend against building.

STAKE · The unit is a revenue stream

Build it. Run it. Let the partner sell it.

A product-partnership model for businesses that own a vertical and need a product they cannot build themselves, with a revenue ledger per deal.

FLYWHEEL · The unit is a venture

Score the business on eight dimensions. Find the drag.

A venture diagnostic used with founders and students: eight dimensions, scored from evidence, to find which one is slowing everything else.

Vibecoding · The unit is a shipped product

From a worthy problem to a live URL.

The twenty-step protocol taught at IED Madrid, LCC and in company training: how people who are not engineers ship working software with AI coding agents, under specification and review gates.

Applied

Worked example: Language Kids World, Houston

A 60-person language-education organisation: the operation mapped first, then AI automations designed and sequenced so each relieved the next. Curriculum development went from weeks to hours, and the tools became a product partnership.
